Dear Friends,
First I want to say how much I miss you all, and to share my deep and sincere prayers for everyone’s health and safety.  These are distressing times.  Yet even in the midst of everything I give thanks for this community of faith-filled people who give me hope.  Your support and love is truly life giving and I thank you for that.
As of this point, we will definitely be cancelling all meetings and services through the end of March.  We will be evaluating along the way when it is safe to resume church.
In the meantime, please reach out, with any needs you might have, whether those are physical, spiritual or emotional.  We cannot let the physical distance detract from the connections we feel with one another and the ways we have of supporting our community.  I am available via email, phone (603-548-4838), or many different kinds of video calling services (facetime, duo, zoom, what’sapp, skype).  Please don’t hesitate to contact me.  Or if there is someone you know who needs something, please let me know that as well.
We look forward to our online worship services.  These will be conducted via zoom every Sunday at 10am.  We will post a link to that on our website (wilmotucc.org), FB page and over email.  Please feel free to share that link with anyone you think would be interested in participating.  I know the need is great for spiritual nourishment!
In these times of distance I hope to be even more in touch over email, to share updates, prayers, words of hope and promise.  Therefore I will be increasing the frequency of my emails.  If you do NOT want to receive these please let me know and I will take you off my list.  If there are prayers that need our attention, please send these to me and I will include a prayer section that can allow us to connect with one another that way.
We are also looking for other ways to connect.  Below you will see an invitation from Rev. Nan DeVries to participate in a book group.  If you have other ideas or suggestions please let me know and we can work on creating even more opportunities for connection and growth during these challenging times.
Since we are not able to hold services in person we no longer have an opportunity to give our pledges that way.  Therefore we are asking people, if possible, to send pledges and donations made out to First Congregational Church of Wilmot, UCC directly to our collector Carol Foss at 128 Camp Sunapee Rd., New London, NH 03257.  Thank you for your ongoing generosity and care of FCCW!
Finally, dear friends, know that you are in my heart.  May God’s peace and everlasting love be felt in this time of turmoil and through hearts reaching towards one another across space and time.
with love,
Rev. Sara
